FPL GW11 captain picks

Lukaku and KDB - FPL GW11 captain picks

Gameweek 11 deadline is approaching so let’s see what options do we have when considering FPL GW11 captain picks. A quick glance at the fixtures reveals a three teams that are very good FPL captain sources for GW11. Man City, Southampton and Tottenham all have easy opponents on the paper which mean high profile players from these teams are well worth considering.

Man City FPL GW11 captain picks

Man City offers us an array of players to choose from as they are fully expected to fill up Norwich’s net and keep their intact at the same time. Kevin De Bruyne is the first player that comes to mind in the absence of Aguero and Silva. Belgian has enjoyed a really nice run of FPL form ever since joining Man City, but it all ended in a goalless draw against their local rivals in last round. Nevertheless, City is expected to win big. Sterling could also be a good choice but at this time he is doubtful to play. Bony can score as well, but due to the much lower ownership it makes sense to choose KDB if you have both. If Bony outscores him your ranking shouldn’t suffer much as he is owned by 5% of FPL managers. You could choose to captain some of City defensive talent, but that is risky considering a conceded goal will bury you and with a couple of more captain-friendly matches out there you are probably better of looking elsewhere. KDB is my best FPL captain advice from Man City in GW11. He will be very popular and he is the player that can deliver goals and assists.

GW11 FPL captain from Southampton – Graziano Pelle or Sadio Mane?

Now this is a dilemma. Southampton has a very favourable matchup against Bournemouth which means a home win is expected. That is a great opportunity for Southampton’s offensive talent to shine. Pelle comes to mind as he is in great form all season long. Granted, he failed to score in his last two Premier League matches, but he did score in a cup match midweek which should give him some confidence here. Bournemouth conceded 5 goals in each of their last two league matches and that speaks for itself. However, Mane looked good in a draw against Liverpool and he too has a lot of captaincy appeal. He was suspended for a midweek cup game, which means he should be well rested for Bournemouth. To conclude; Mane should be fine captain choice, but Pelle has a higher ownership so maybe it makes more sense to choose him in case you have both in your team.

Spurs’ FPL captain options in GW11

Kane scored a hat-trick against Bournemouth, but can he repeat that performance? He just might, considering Tottenham should have another easy match when Aston Villa comes to White Hart Lane. Kane was not enjoying a good form all season long, but a performance like the one he had in GW10, can be a turning point. Eriksen is in a good form as well, but I would suggest Kane any day over him as the Dane is a bit inconsistent and could very well blank. However, if you are looking for a differential GW11 captain tip, you can consider Lamela or Dier. Lamela is quietly having a very nice season and huge performance will put him on the radar and could be a boost for him. Aston Villa at home looks like a great opportunity score big. Finally, one more Spurs’ player to consider for an armband could be Dier. He is an OOP player that already scored two goals. Add to that clean sheet potential and you have a nice differential captain for GW11.

What to expect from Arsenal in GW11?

Arsenal players are usually interesting captain targets, but Gunners have a tough fixture at Swansea. They also have plenty of injured players. However, that doesn’t mean it is easy to choose an FPL captain from this team. Walcott is out, which means Giroud will start. He had been in fine form lately and could score again. However, besides from scoring, he doesn’t do much else. Ozil has been praised a lot for his fine form. He doesn’t really score but he has that nice final pass and we all know assists count as well in the fantasy Premier League game. Sanchez was brilliant in three consecutive league matches, but he blanked against Everton. What to expect from him at Swansea? His high ownership means he will be popular captain choice again so it shouldn’t hurt you much if you do the same. Cazorla can deliver too. Choosing a FPL captain from Arsenal team can give you headaches, but you certainly don’t have all 4 of the players above. You have Sanchez most likely, as his ownership is really high so he is my tip for GW11 from Arsenal squad.

Conclusion – Best FPL GW11 captain picks

To conclude, here is my list of best six FPL GW11 captain picks. I’m putting KDB first as he has goalscoring and assisting potential. Norwich at home should be a good chance to do both for him. Next one on my list is Pelle. This Southampton player is a proven goalscorer and with an easy match against Bournemouth he shouldn’t disappoint. Third place goes to Harry Kane. He was a hat-trick hero in the last round and should build on that achievement when Villa comes to town. Sanchez has to be considered again, despite a fairly difficult match at Swansea.

Wijnaldum has raised a few eyebrows with his 4 goal performance in GW9. He is easily the best player in Newcastle and I like him to deliver again against Stoke. Stoke was in a decent form but they were caught on the wrong foot by Watford in GW10. I expect Newcastle to do the same as I’ve seen some positives in their game at Sunderland. Wijnaldum should deliver in GW11.

Finally, last but not least on my list is Everton’s Lukaku. Plenty of FPL managers might be put off because Sunderland is expected to soldier on following a derby win over Newcastle. However, I don’t trust them, they were actually very lucky to get a penalty that got Coloccini sent off at the same time. Newcastle was a better side until that sending off. Sunderland is a poor team with a shaky defence and not even Allardyce can help them there, not away from home. Everton is expected to win and Lukaku will likely score. The only problem is his inconsistency, but he doesn’t have a suitable defender in Sunderland team.
