Possible Fantasy Premier League Sanchez replacements

FPL Sanchez replacements

Big Fantasy Premier League question this week is who to replace Alexis Sanchez with. Chilean attacking midfielder got injured in a draw at Norwich. He is not expected to return for a while. Replacing him is an obvious thing to do. Less obvious is who to replace him with. In this article, I will give you top 5 FPL Alexis Sanchez replacements. These recommendations are divided into two groups, based on the price. You can read more on the topic here.

FPL Sanchez replacements

FPL Alexis Sanchez replacements in the same price range

Sanchez is actually the most expensive FPL midfielder. Whoever you choose as a replacement will free some of your budget to allocate elsewhere. However, there are the couple of midfielders that are available at the similar price with plenty of FPL value at the same time.
1. Eden Hazard – bad form so far but he should return big in the following 4 gameweeks
2. Kevin De Bruyne – scoring and assisting potential
3. Mesut Ozil – Excellent form so far, but for how long?

1. Eden Hazard

My top FPL Sanchez replacement is Eden hazard. He will be the one I will transfer into my team Despite his poor performances, I can not ignore the kind fixtures in front of Chelsea. Hazard is one of the few Chelsea players that can actually score goals regularly. Chelsea had a decent game at White Hart Lane and hopefully goals will come against Bournemouth. If they do, Hazard will be involved. Read more on this subject here and here.

2. Kevin De Bruyne

De Bruyne was hot from the moment he joined Manchester City. Then he started fading after gameweek 8, only to explode in the last gameweek against Southampton. He carried that momentum into yesterday’s cup match with Hull. This means he will be a popular pick for gameweek 15. Bringing him in right now will cost you £10.7m. I am not sure that price will be unchanged come Saturday morning. But does he have FPL value? I believe he does. Maybe he will blank at Stoke on Saturday, but he seems like the most consistent Man City attacker right now, especially with the likes of Aguero and Silva injured most of the time. Toure and Sterling are both dangerous looking, but this season they are yet to convince.

3. Mesut Ozil

Ozil is a sure pick from Arsenal these days, but he will get cold eventually. It might be as soon as the next gameweek. However, while it lasts he represents good value for the money. Arsenal’s midfield area is getting more thin on the weekly basis as three standard players are injured. Coquelin, Sanchez and Cazorla are all out. This means Chamberlain and Ramsey should be considered with Ozil as well.

Budget friendly FPL Sanchez replacements

If you want to put some money in the bank with selling Sanchez, or you don’t think above mentioned players are worth it, you can consider following FPL midfielders:

  • Christian Eriksen – creating chances to his teammates, good form of the entire team
  • Coutinho / Firmino – both looked good since Klopp took over
  • Barkley – has the potential to return big in a gameweek
  • Bolasie – skilful player that could be reaching his last season’s form just now
