Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 36 captain tips – top 3
Quick glance at the gameweek 36 fixture list suggests there are couple of interesting matches where we can seek our best captain pick. Watford v. Villa is a good chance to consider Ighalo. He didn’t score for quite some time now, but this is the best chance he has to regain some confidence. Because of his goal drought he shouldn’t be very popular pick among FPL managers which makes him a nice differential. Arsenal keeps on slipping, but home match v. Norwich is a great chance to captain the likes of Sanchez or Ozil. How about some other big guns? Who is going to perform well?
GW36 captain pick #1 – Alexis Sanchez
Once again, Sanchez is the first name on my captain tips list. He is in form right now and I don’t see him stopping against Norwich. one to consider as well is Ozil, but Sanchez is playing with confidence right now and if you have both of these talented midfielders, Chilean is the way to go. If you don’t have him, you might even consider spending your free transfer to get him. In any case, he promises to return big and Norwich defense doesn’t seem to be up for the challenge.
GW36 captain pick #2 – Lukaku
Lukaku has been in a good form throughout most of the current BPL season, but his form dropped lately and so did the form of the entire team. Having said that I do like him to return against Bournemouth at home. This is a good chance for the Toffees to record a win and if that should be the case, I can see Lukaku getting his name on the score sheet.
GW36 captain pick #3 – Odion Ighalo
I already mentioned reasons for trusting in Ighalo in the gameweek 36. Watford has been playing solid football throughout the season and there is an every chance they will defeat frustrated Villa team in front of the fans. Ighalo has not been in the form lately but he should be on target on Saturday afternoon.
Gameweek 36 FPL captain differentials
My main GW36 captain picks are above, but there are other interesting options not considered like Firmino, Mahrez, Aguero or Kane. All of them are likely to return but my top 3 picks all have home match against very beatable opponent. I expect them to be GW36 top performers. However, there are some other under the radar players to consider. How about Shane Long? He had quietly played very well this season. He was a backup behind Pelle, but he got the chance when Italian got injured. He managed 9 goals with 4 assists. That is pretty impressive if you ask me. Southampton welcomes Man City on Sunday. I believe this team is more focused on their CL opponent at this point and there lies the chance for Southampton. With Long’s slim ownership and potential at this point, I feel there’s plenty of appeal in getting him in your team and even considering for a differential captain.
How about Fabregas? After an impressive season last year, he disappeared very much like the entire Chelsea team in the current season. However, Fabregas showed some signs of getting back to his old form. He bagged three assists in a win over Bournemouth and he looks like an interesting player to own for the home match in London derby v. Spurs.
