Gameweek 15 Premier League Fantasy captain tips

Gameweek 15 is approaching and it is time to think about Fantasy Premier League captain. I am recommending following players: Diego Costa, Eden Hazard, Alexis Sanchez, Mane. Why? Keep reading.

Captain Costa or Hazard

Chelsea is at the top of the league after a morale-boosting win against Man City. I can’t see WBA stopping them at the Stamford Bridge. Hazard and Costa, in particular, are both having a great season. Both of them are enjoying their games and scoring goals. This is why I am recommending the pair of them for a Gameweek 15 FPL captain. I feel you couldn’t go wrong with either. WBA conceded 5 goals in their previous last two league matches last season. May I remind you it was a season when Chelsea played rubbish football? They are looking much better these days which points to an easy home win. I can’t see WBA scoring on Sunday, but I wouldn’t really consider any of their defenders as captain pick while Costa and Hazard are in a good shape. If I had both in my team, I would choose Costa over Hazard just because of the better most recent form. He did pick up a knock in a win over City, but he’ll be ready on Sunday.

Sanchez – true FPL stud

Sanchez was brilliant against West Ham and he is currently the highest scoring Fantasy Premier League player. These reasons are enough for this highly popular player to be very popular FPL captain this week. However, I wouldn’t expect him to be as good as he was against the Hammers. Stoke could be a stubborn team to break down. While Arsenal should prevail eventually, they might not score 5 goals again. Sanchez just had way too much space against West Ham. Stoke will look to hold their ground. Sanchez will still be a good captain choice, at least as a shield option. Captaining him, you shouldn’t get burned really bad because a lot of FPL managers will do the same. Not captaining him could hurt your OR if he delivers.

Mane vs West Ham

Just because West Ham looked bad against Arsenal, I am willing to trust Mane to do a good job as a Gameweek 15 captain. Liverpool looks good this season. At least offensively. Sure, losing to Bournemouth looks bad, but they were still able to score 3 goals. Mane was dangerous on the day, scoring and assisting before leaving the pitch injured. It was a shame as he could have gotten more points for his owners. Nevertheless, despite the chance of not suiting up for the West Ham match, I feel that he will be the best Liverpool player on Sunday if he does. I am willing to trust him and I recommend Mane as the last captain tip for this gameweek. He is a talented player with a lot of pace in his feet. Liverpool will be pissed after losing at Bournemouth. This could be a long day for West Ham. I don’t see them as a good defensive team right now which is something Liverpool will be able to punish.

If you don’t own Mane, Firmino might be good option. He has been a bit of a hit or miss this season which is why I prefer Mane, though. One more Reds player to consider is definitely Origi. He scored in two consecutive matches which makes me think he could be preferred over constantly injured Sturridge. Origi’s ownership is low which makes him a decent differential pick.

Other GW15 captain tips

To wrap it up for Gameweek 15, I would also like to mention a couple of more interesting players. Lukaku seems to be cold lately. This makes him an extremely risky captain pick, however, you never know with him. If you’re feeling lucky, give him an armband, but they are better options out there.

Theo Walcott didn’t return anything against West Ham, but he was subbed off early. He did have a couple of good chances to score. In any case, he is still a good alternative to Sanchez.

Swansea sure does concede a lot, but Sigurdsson is a very capable player playing OOP. Need I say more? Sunderland is their next opponent which seems like a god opportunity for Siggy on paper. Sunderland improved lately, but I still wouldn’t trust them to keep a clean sheet. On the other hand, they too have a capable scorer. I’m talking about Defoe.

Finally, Ibrahimovic and Kane face each other in Manchester. Because Utd is in a poor run of form, I would assume they really don’t want to lose this. On the other hand, Spurs are a good defensive team. I can see these teams canceling each other out. Again, better options elsewhere.
